The night before the shoot I only managed to get 2 hours of sleep due to working long hours and being overly-excited. I looked like hell in the morning. Like a puffy-eyed monster who had been hit in the face with a sloppy fish.
Fortunately my make up artist, AnnaAnna is a magician with those brushes and had me resembling a normal person within like 20 minutes - another 15 minutes and a 1/2 bottle of concealer later, even quite attractive. By the 60 minute mark I was ravishing. It looked like I had slept 10 hours and lived off green smoothies and litres and litres of still water. I was glowing. NEVER underestimate the power of good make up.
Bijon, our photographer could only make it around 7pm - which meant really having to rush to get in a few pictures whilst the light was still holding. It was a partly cloudy day too.
We rushed downstairs - each team member laden with kilos and kilos of clothing, make up. bags, accessories. Plan was to walk around my neighbourhood (Munich Haidhausen) and do some street shots. Imagine our DELIGHT when we found an abandoned shopping cart/trolley along the way. We quickly transferred the stuff we were carrying to the trolley and hit the streets looking like ever-so-posh bag ladies.
We started taking photos around the fountain but I didn't really "warm up" until our styling assistant, Donna started to play some loud music. What is it about an R&B track with a heavy base line that gets me going craycray? Love it!
"Click click, giggle giggle" - Those were the sounds coming from the girls testing out my new selfie stick I'd just brought from my trip to Rome. They were having a ball of a time doing their own photo shoot parallel to mine...Haha.... I just simply HAD to join in on a few selfies too... Didn't want to be left out:-)
Passer-byers enquired as to what we were doing and hovered around briefly to watch. Think they must have found it amusing/confusing - what looked like a model shoot - but the model not resembeling a classic model:-)
We stopped traffic in the street. We danced. We argued over which accessories matched best but most importantly we had loads of fun and laughed and laughed and laughed! :-)
